At The Apartment design showroom in Prague’s Karlín, six chairs just got a second life. Mikuláš selected them from Moje Poesie, a collector’s vintage shop — each one representing a different era and philosophy of design. And each one got its own knitted piece: a different technique, a different stitch, different materials, a different graphic language.
For BeOak, a Slovak premium furniture maker, we designed a limited collection of two knitted objects — a bed throw and a decoration for a round side table. Both come in two colourways: peach with a yellow accent, and pale blue with burgundy. Each piece is a custom-programmed jacquard pattern, machine-knitted and hand-finished with steaming. Material: 100% Italian merino wool.
Dolce Vita magazine came to Mikuláš with an irresistible brief: dress six iconic furniture pieces from the first half of the 20th century in original knitted designs. Pro novou pražskou fine-dining restauraci Óda jsme vytvořili čtyři pletené obrazy, které se staly výraznou součástí interiéru. Realizace ukazuje, jak může pletenina fungovat v architektuře jako plnohodnotný výtvarný prvek — není jen plošným obrazem, ale vnáší do prostoru strukturu, měkkost a hloubku.
