For BeOak, a Slovak premium furniture maker, we designed a limited collection of two knitted objects — a bed throw and a decoration for a round side table. Both come in two colourways: peach with a yellow accent, and pale blue with burgundy. Each piece is a custom-programmed jacquard pattern, machine-knitted and hand-finished with steaming. Material: 100% Italian merino wool.
The collection sits on the boundary between design and art. Two material worlds meet here: the solidity and calm of solid oak on one side, the softness and structural richness of knit on the other.
The throw brings warmth, depth and colour to the bedroom. The knitted “skirt” for the round side table is something of a surprise — textile in a role you wouldn’t quite expect.
The edition is limited to 20 pieces worldwide.
