Thirty years of experience shape everything we do at KNIT-ART. Our parent company, KNIT-TEX CS, has a long-standing tradition in knitting technology — and we take that heritage seriously. It’s what we build on.
For thirty years, the same things have defined us: deep knowledge of technology, materials, stitches and textures, an obsessive attention to detail, and a genuinely personal approach to every client. Now we’re channelling all of that into contemporary textile design.
Our ambition is simple: to create textiles that make a room feel complete.
The two of us behind KNIT-ART are Helena Fišerová and Mikuláš Brukner — and we came together by chance. Mikuláš wanted to learn how to programme knitting machines; Helena had just the space for him to try. She started sending him to training courses in Italy, where he learned from master craftspeople. That collaboration, which began in 2020, grew into something bigger: in 2025, we decided to take everything we know and build a brand exactly the way we’d always imagined.
It all started with a knitted kitchen splashback in our office — we wanted something original, and knitting was the natural answer. Seat covers, wall pieces, decorative panels followed. We loved the results so much that we decided to share them. Now every interior can have a bespoke piece that is both beautiful and functional.
We travel regularly to trade fairs in Italy and Germany — because staying ahead of trends is part of the job.
Mikuláš studied fashion design at UMPRUM in Prague and completed an internship at Christian Dior. He is the one who gave our project its artistic soul and our textiles their distinctive character. In his work, he combines local inspiration drawn from art and design history with premium materials. He loves experimenting with form and content, and enjoys collaborating with architects, designers, photographers — anyone with a strong creative vision.
Helena has led KNIT-TEX CS for over thirty years and has been behind KNIT-ART from day one. She brings deep business experience, continuity — and a real enthusiasm for giving new creative talent room to grow. Her expertise is what allows the brand to develop steadily and stand on solid ground.
