For Óda, a new fine-dining restaurant in Prague, we created four knitted works that became a defining element of the interior. Here, knit is not mere decoration — it brings structure, softness and depth to the space.
The interior was designed by architect Šimon Marek of Detektivní kancelář. His artistic concept works with motifs of raw ingredients — apples, cabbage, poppy seeds and eggs — and our task was to translate that vision into textile. We carefully tuned the colour, texture and technical execution of each piece.
For this project, we developed a material of our own formula — wool reinforced with a special polyamide in precisely the right ratio. It holds its shape, is naturally self-cleaning, and does not spread flame. Essential qualities for public spaces. When we realised this was a key material for vertical, freely hanging textiles, we gave it its own name: Penelope. And Penelope earned certification to ČSN 13773, Class 1 — the highest level of fire safety.
