At KNIT-ART, we create exclusive knitted textiles for architects, designers, and everyone shaping interiors with character.
Every piece is made to measure, from the very first conversation to the finished object. Upholstery, cushion covers, tapestries, throws, runners, wall hangings, decorative panels – each project is tailored to its setting and purpose.
We work with both natural and technical materials, and we know exactly what to expect from each of them.
We are a small design studio with deep know-how. Behind us stand thirty years of high-level expertise in textile technologies, and art director Mikuláš Brukner, who brings a distinctive creative vision and international perspective to every project.

Unique design
We approach every project individually. No two pieces are ever the same. Your brief may be a vision, a creative idea, a sketch, or a photo — and we’ll come up with a solution you didn’t expect. Every project passes through the hands of a designer who prepares a tailor-made concept just for you. That could be anything from a single chair cover to a full hotel commission.
Quality materials
Merino wool, linen, silk, fancy yarns with sequins, as well as polyester and polyamide — we select the best material for your needs, always with one goal in mind: that it performs exactly as it should.
Durability
Our textiles stand up to everyday use while meeting the most demanding fire and abrasion resistance standards. We hold certifications for use in public spaces, we can work with outdoor-grade materials that won’t fade in the sun, and we use yarns so safe they can touch a child’s skin.
Cutting-edge technology and creative freedom
We work with Japanese knitting machines and know how to get the very best out of them. We knit seamless 3D shapes that fit beautifully around different types and forms of furniture. Each result combines Mikuláš’s technical mastery with his artistic sensibility.
Made to be touched
Textiles have to be felt. When working with materials, we love it when the result is just as beautiful to touch as it is to look at. We can knit wonderfully soft throws in merino wool or cashmere, create fine upholstery in viscose and linen, or develop a surface with a velvet-like finish.
