The February issue of ELLE features the collaboration between BeOak and our textile artist Mikuláš. For the premium furniture maker, a limited collection of two knitted statement pieces was created: a bed throw and a gathered textile “skirt”, designed for the coffee tables XX by Lucie Koldová and HRIB by the duo Vrtiška & Žák. Both objects play on the contrast between the softness of the textile and the solidity of solid oak — a material characteristic of BeOak.
The collection comes in two colourways — peach with a yellow accent and pale blue with a burgundy tone — which echo the natural shade of oak — distinctive, but never loud. Both pieces are made from 100% Italian merino wool and produced as a limited series.
The photograph accompanying the ELLE feature captures Mikuláš himself during the shoot at Only Cash Studio. This time, it wasn’t just the furniture that got dressed — the maker stepped into the frame too.
